Intake and exhaust

The intake manifold cleaned up nicely.

The exhaust manifold was a screaming deal from eBay. True to its’ barn-fresh patina, a mouse had made a nest in the collector. I pulled out all sorts of dried grass. Luckily no icky surprises.

The stock manifold is said to flow better than an aftermarket header.

Most important is the lower mount. This keeps the manifold from twisting against the head. It is often missing from many cars.

I’ve heard that most manifold paints tend to flake off, so I left the patina.
