The rat alive II

I swiped another pair of carbs from one of the parts cars and cleaned them up. (Parts cars rock!). Someone aggressively rebushed the throttle shafts so they require stiffer springs to close the throttle, but they tuned up nicely.

Bad news is the clutch I hoped would be OK a few years ago is not in the best of shape - it works and I can drive the car up and down the driveway, but the engine really should be pulled for a new one.

She brakes evenly, no strange noises from the tranny or rear end.

Also needs an exhaust system - the open header puts a lot of heat right at your feet!
