On to the front

Zippy continued to put up a struggle. I couldn’t get the old pads out. Finally I decided to take the whole caliper off and mount it in a vise on the bench. Much better. I was able to get some leverage and get the old pads out and the new ones in.

This also gives you good access to check the condition of the brake rotor and to measure the thickness to make sure you have enough left to stop the car when you really need it! .325" is the minimum thickness.

Save yourself some frustration and go ahead and remove the whole caliper to replace the pads.
